I’m not sure if I’ve ranted about this before. But oh well the irritation is coming back after I talked to a junior the other day. Been wanting to write this post since that night but was too busy to do it. Now finally have sometime go gather my thoughts.
According to urban dictionary, A “noob” is a person who is new or inexperienced in a subject, usually an online game. Noobs are usually annoying and excessively stupid. Not all noobs are intolerable. Some at least they’re still aware that they’re a noob and they’re talking to a pro. However, some noobs has no freaking clue. Like my this junior, he thinks that what he know is all there is there and it’s correct and accurate. And when people tell him otherwise, instead trying to understand and realize how much he doesn’t know, he tries to find every fault, every stupid examples and idiotic reasoning to try to point out that it’s not so right, what he know is more right. I’m not saying questioning the information and giving argumentative reasoning to ensure the information is accurate and consumable is wrong. In fact, it is very right. But you’ve gotta make sense and be logical, and not just sound like u’re fighting to get your way. It only makes you look like a moron.
I have to admit that I have very little tolerance with noob. If I can avoid it as much as possible I will not get any into any intellectual conversation with them especially on a topic that I’m not 100% sure about because with these kind of people once you get 1 fact wrong, they treat it like everything you say thus far is wrong, and that’s when they will start to go on rampage with their stupidity. Best of all, is not to have any conversation but we know damn well that that’s not possible. At least not all the time.
Unintended but turned to be so. My typical weekend since start working is Saturday out, Sunday in. My Saturday always starts with badminton followed by meet up with some friends and Sunday stay home to cool off the heat from the week and get ready for the next. However this week is a little different. Well it’s started with Badminton as usually but this week, I play with my housemate and his friends since my usual gang are busy. It feels great to play all out with good players. Great games. After the games, I headed home. Initially wanted to disturb some friend in NUS but some of them were occupied so they called it off. So yeah along the way, I made a stop to pick up a book I ordered online. While I was there, I got a little distracted and ended up staying awhile to shop for a few more books and some grocery shopping. Finally, went to grab my lunch and orange juice. From there I just enjoyed the rest of my day at home. The same goes for Sunday. Having home cooked food by my housemate, do the dishes, did laundry, read book and surf net.
It is a really simple and peaceful Sunday indeed. Though I was more or less alone, I felt peaceful and contented somehow.
I was telling my brother that I don’t want to see this movie because I think it’s going to be the worst of all X-Men movies. But I guess sometime my pre-judgment sense can be really off. Ended watching it somehow, and it was…. Awesome! Definitely the best of all X-Men installments. First Class is basically a story of how it all began for X-Men.
To my surprise, James McAvoy did a superb job playing the young Charles Xavier. On top of the that, the story build up and cinematography were great. When a superhero action movie like this gives you a good story, that’s when it becomes awesome. Enough said, check it out! Worth every buck.
Saw this with my Bro in GVMax. This movie shows the birth of Captain America. So if you’re, like me, just happen to know who is Captain America and don’t know how he comes about then it’s worth checking it out. However, if Captain American rings no bell to you, then this movie would probably look just like another super soldier war movie to you. Personally, how I feel about Captain America is the same as what I feel about Thor and Green Lantern. If you don’t even as much that they’re a famous cartoon/comic super hero character and seen or read some of it, then don’t even bother watching. It’ll just be another action movie to you.
Seriously, I really think that Thor sucks but yesterday I was talking to my junior and he thinks it’s awesome. Then I went to check its IMDB rating and to my surprise it’s freaking 7.4. Hence, I guess my opinion belong to the minority here. Anyhow I still think it sucks and not worth watching. I think probably because I saw X-Men First Class before Thor. I was really having a lot of expectation. Or probably I’m just not into Thor entirely.
Haven’t been reviewing movie in awhile. That goes to show how busy working life is compared to school life. Just got to see this movie yesterday with my little gang. This movie is so-so. But again when you see a title like Cowboys & Aliens, you just can’t expect much. I really wonder if the comic is any much better. Anyway, Cowboys & Aliens is as the title states, about cowboys battling aliens who apparently come down to earth look for gold for whatever reason it was. The Aliens was all super powerful and mighty, and the cowboy side there was basically only 1 guy who can really do anything to alien as he has this bracelet stolen from the alien when he got away from his alien probe incidence. The rest of the cowboys and the Indians who joined force with them was practically fighting with their revolvers, arrows and spears. And that’s when it starts to not make sense. Sometime, no matter how many bullet and arrow they shot at the alien, the alien seem to be unhurt. But sometime time just one poke of a stick, the bloody alien just drop dead in an instant. Well I guess it’s not supposed to make sense.
Overall, this movie doesn’t have much plot, if you just want to see some aliens, some shooting, some explosion and some Cowboys and 1 hot girl… go for it. Otherwise, don’t even think about it. Waste of money.
