Dark Knight Rises (2012)

ReviewReviewReviewReviewReview

Christopher Nolan did it again. He bless us with yet another incredibly awesome movie. The Dark Knight Rises easily adds itself to the list of best movies of all-time. Just when you thought that The Dark Knight was so good, he could he top it off? Yet he did it. I’d have to salute the man. Honestly, I was never really a bit fan of the Batman, both cartoon and movies. And I don’t even read the comics at all. Not that I don’t like comics, it’s just that from where I come, we don’t have access to US comics. But oh well, I started watching simply because of Christopher Nolan. A fan or not, I knew he’d work his magic and make Batman awesome, which of course he did.

Anyway, on with The Dark Knight Rises. I won’t go so far to say it’s better than The Dark Knight. It’s amazing in different way. The highlight of The Dark Knight was the villain-the Joker. However, in The Dark Knight Rises was everybody and on top of that there is a better story line. In Batmin Begins, Batman is awesome! in Dark Knight, Joker is awesome! However in Dark Knight Rises everybody is is awesome! well with the exception of Marinda. I would like to especially high light Cat Woman because before the film released I read a number of article about people being skeptical over Anne Hatheway’s suitability for the role as Cat Woman. I think she has just proven them all wrong. I think she did a superb job as Cat Woman. After watching the show, I couldn’t think of anybody else who’s more suited for the role.

All in all, I think the Batman trilogy are all incredibly amazing, I don’t rate anyone higher than the other because to m, these 3 combined is simply 1 big extended movie divided into 3 parts each having different theme and highlighting different things. So you gotta watch them all, be amazed and become a fan!

Borrowing

I’m sure everyone has borrowed and lend people something at some point in our lives. And there’s always a lot of different discontent can arise from let people borrow stuff. Maybe we’re not happy that he/she didn’t take care of it or he/she lend it to somebody else… etc. There’s 1 particular discontent that bugs me recently. It’s the discontent you get when somebody borrows something from you and you know at that very moment that if you were to lend him/her, he/she will just going to keep borrowing. So then you were stuck in a dilemma whether to just say I don’t want to lend or just make up some excuses not to lend. The first is never really practical, it’s always either I lend or make up excuses.

A few months ago someone I barely knew suddenly borrowed me 20 bucks and explained at great length why he/she needed the money and would pay me back in 1 month time. Immediately, I was reluctant. Not because $20 is a lot of money but simply because I just knew if I lend him/her, that someone will just keep borrowing. Still, I lent. S0 1.5 month later, he/she returned me the $20. Then about 3 or 4 weeks later he/she again borrow $20 and promised would return the following month. Seriously, my first reaction on the 2nd time was just “I knew it!”. Of course despite what I felt, I still lent. But what I just don’t understand is how can one can just keep borrowing thing from people and not realizing that they don’t like it. The fact that they lend you today is in no way an indication that you can keep borrowing.

There’s also another thing about me that makes this more disturbing is the fact that I’m the type of person don’t like borrowing things from people unless there’s no other way. And even if I do, I would make sure that I wouldn’t have to keep borrowing him/her repeatedly. Hence, of course that goes both way. I also dislike it when people do that to me.

I always thought being considerate is common sense but apparently, if it is, common sense would be a subject in school.

Writing

I would like to take this post to show my respect for writers. I always knew that writing require inspiration and right mood. But what I hardly knew was the feeling of frustration when you want to write sth so badly but you simply just can’t put it into words. Because usually, I would be looking at my blog and suddenly feeling like writing some posts. However, since I started working, with my busy schedule, I would noting down the topic and post I’d want to write about in To-Do list and write about it when I have free time. Well I thought that could work. But when the free time comes, I just sat there staring at the screen blankly and wondering what was I supposed to write on this topic… oh wait I remember but sh*t! how to put it into words…

So now I know. You can’t simply wait to write, it’s either you write the moment the mood and inspiration hit or you don’t write at all. Even today, I was on the verge of losing the mood to write this post too. So all in all, writers. RESPECT!

The Amazing Spider (2012)

ReviewReview

The Amazing Spider is not so amazing at all. Whatever people might have said, I still think Andew Garfield is neither fitting as Spiderman no Peter Parker. The acting and action were also so much better in the first 3 installment of Spiderman. For me, this installment just kinda screw the reputation up for the last 3. Then again, I still have friends who said this is awesome… Though I don’t see from which perspective this is awesome but at least it proves that they still have audience who love it. Also it’s rated quite highly in IMDB as well. So I think I just probably grew up on Spiderman. Probably if I go back and watch the previous Spiderman movies I probably wouldn’t be enjoying it as much as I remembered. Anyhow, watch this at your own risk. 😉
